Wyniki badań zostały następnie skontrastowane z danymi dotyczącymi języka reklamy i prasy.

Część I: There is a common belief that contemporary Polish of young Poles is a strongly influenced by English. However, to date there has been no systematic research in this field. The aim of this study is to describe the influence of English on the spoken variety of Polish, with special emphasis on the areas of semantics and syntax. The methods of investigation involve an analysis of a corpus on informal conversations, as well as elicitation of native speakers judgements through language awareness questionnaires. Finally, the spoken language data are compared with the language of the press and advertising. Surprisingly, it turns out not only that the influence of English on Polish is different in those three areas, but spoken Polish of the younger generation is much more conservative and resistant to change than the language of the press and advertising.
